Four Options, One Foundation

Each Lind Equipment Beacon LED Tower Light starts with the same cart design. It has a steel construction with four foam-filled wheels (two are casters) that make it reasonable to wheel around by hand. There are also forklift guides to help you move the lights across less rolling-friendly landscape and distances.

Outriggers near each corner extend out two feet beyond the frame and give all of the lights 45 MPH wind resistance.

The lights run on generator power (not included, but available from Lind Equipment) or AC power if you have access to it. Each model has a 6-gallon fuel tank that can run the lights up to 45 hours. Ah, the joys of LED power savings!

How Much Light Do You Need?

Each Lind Equipment Beacon LED Tower Light uses a combination of either two or four 200W, 30,000-lumen LED lights. The two-panel models put out 60,000 total lumens and the four-panel lights crank out 120,000 lumens. Even with two of the four-panel lights, you can run both on a single 15A circuit.

The LEDs Lind goes with are rated for 50,000 hours, so they should live well beyond even the best metal halide lights.

The light housings are aluminum and they have a polycarbonate lens to protect it better on the jobsite. Each system carries an IP65 rating, essentially making it completely weatherproof.

All four models use a hand crank to lift the lights and there are two different heights available. The LE980LED models reach up to 20′ and the LE980LEDV models hit 17′.

If you have a preference, you can get these lights in either black or yellow. Stick with the model numbers listed below for yellow or add a “-B” for black. ‘

More Than Just Energy Savings

We’re used to LED lights having a premium over other light types, but it reverses in this case. Some of the metal halide options with a similar output can run from a few hundred to several thousand dollars more. Premium models can come close to double the cost.

Check with your local dealer for specific pricing in your area. The prices we’ve seen for the four-panel models are less than $5,000.
